I am an American mother. I have birthed two sons. My oldest son has Down syndrome. He has been such a joy to raise. He will be 30 this year.
In 2005, I brought home a little boy with Down syndrome from Russia. He is now 13 years old, and in the 7th grade. He loves to swim and ride his bike. :) In 2009, I traveled to Russia again, and brought home another little boy with Down syndrome. He is 9 years old, and in the 3rd grade. He is very smart. He reads and writes and loves to draw. :) In 2012, I adopted a little boy from Russia, who had been in an institution for 7 years. He also has Down syndrome. He is very sweet and loves to swim. He is in the 4th grade. I want everyone family to know, that raising a child with Down syndrome is such a blessing. They are sweet and funny and so loving. It is not hard to take care of them. They are very good boys. It takes them longer to learn, but they are very eager to learn. :) My boys love to go to school, and they have lots of friends. They go to a regular school like everyone else. I am very proud that they are my sons!
